I am currently supervising a Masters (by Research) student and have supervised a number of honours students doing practice based research.

2014, (in progress) Nicholas Hansen, Masters (by Research), RMIT University, School of Media and Communication, ‘Designing the online documentary experience through experiments in journalism.’ Interactive documentary projects and exegesis.

2011, Jim Elson-John, RMIT University, School of Media and Communication. ‘Still in Motion’, a interactice video project and exegesis. Jim has credits on a number of documentary and art projects.

2010, Annabelle Clark, RMIT University, School of Media and Communication. ‘Successful Concept Development for the Factual Entertainment and Reality Television Genre’. A work internship project with a reality TV company in Sydney.

2008 Sandra O’Connor, ‘FLANEAR: Preserving the multiplicity of sonic experiences online’, Practice-based research, Labsome, RMIT University.

2008 Nico Leonard, ‘Format Wars: Developing a multiple format publishing model for independent comic book creators’, Practice-based research, Labsome, RMIT University.

2007, Kristin Stephenson, ‘Continuity Supervising: Old Practice, New Technology’ School of Media and Communication, RMIT University. Research on the continuity role in the film and television industry presented as an interactive video essay. Kristin is working as a video producer at World Vision Australia.

2005, Scott Morrison, Australia National University, Centre for New Media Arts, Faculty of Arts. Scott is a practicing video artist.
