‘Netvideo Nonvideo Newvideo: Designing a multilinear nonnarrative form for interactive documentary’ in the School of Media and Communication at RMIT University. My senior supervisor was Associate Professor Laurene Vaughan and associate supervisor Dr. Adrian Miles. In this research, I have concentrated on the intersection between documentary practices and new media technologies, with a specific focus on interactive documentary.

Master of Arts (by Research), Media Arts, University of Technology Sydney

I have a Master of Arts (by Research) ‘Video Chaos: Multilinear narrative structuration in New Media video practice’ (2005) completed in the Media Arts and Production program at University Technology Sydney. My supervisors were Professor Norie Neumark and Senior Lecturer Chris Caines. Adjunct Professor Helen Grace and Dr. Melinda Rackham examined the submitted research. This practice-based research examined the effect the Internet was having on New Media video practice.

Current Role

New Media Lecturer, School of Media and Communication, RMIT University. Teaching theory and practice, undergraduate and masters production strand courses. This includes: Web and cross-media production, interactive documentary, experimental video, online video and mobile videography. Supervision of Masters and Honours students. Hardware/software and online technical support for teaching and learning. Project management consulting and facilitating the development of industry links with media and art organisations.
