Frame stills from the video work ‘The Grampians’ for an artists-cloud iBook that is in progress. The brief ‘things that quicken the heart’. The works include three locations in colour and black and white (with text).
Draft of description with the work: These video works document several landscapes painted by Eugene Von Guérard in 1856, in the Grampian National Park in Victoria, Australia. In relation to the theme, I work with influences from Romanticism and the notion of the sublime. The aim was to express how the landscape made me feel at each of these locations in relation to a quickening of the heart.
